An Antidote to Suffering

The Buddha considered patience to be a spiritual practice and an expression of an awakened heart. He recognized that inherent discontent and wanting life to be different are universal traits that cause suffering.
He also taught that it is possible to cultivate patience through gentle and steady effort, which can help meet difficulties in ways that enable us to see things more clearly and respond wisely.
