What’s in it for me?

By DonationResource Dharma Talk
If we sincerely examine how we normally function throughout the day we’ll find that for the most part we’re looking for what’s best for us. And what’s wrong with that, we might say.
But in the process of always putting our own happiness first, are we deceiving others and reinforcing our self-cherishing and ego?

We conclude with the Sixth Point of the Lojong, Mind Training teachings which focus on the commitments or disciplines of the practice. We examine the last three maxims beginning with “Don’t act with a twist”. (Sixth Point: Part 4 of 4)

Sixth Point: Part 1 “Keeping our Practice on Track”
Sixth Point: Part 2 “Attitude is Everything”
Sixth Point: Part 3 “Hopelessly Fearless”
Sixth Point: Part 4 “What’s in it for me?”
