Jampa Kalsang Welcomes You

By DonationResource Teacher
Jampa has been studying and practicing Dharma since 1994. Taking refuge in 2005 he began formal training in the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Following the advice and example of his teachers, he balances his style of teaching with the focus on view, meditation, and conduct. He maintains this balance in his everyday life with his wife, family, and work.

Jampa first personally encountered the Dharma in 1994. After studying on his own and applying the Dharma to his life he found his home at Pasadena Bodhi Path a Vadrayana Bhuddist center and his first teacher, Khaydroup Zangmo in 2005. He took Refuge vows (commitment to the path) that same year and began formal study and practice in the Karma Kagyü lineage of Tibetan Buddhism under the guidance of his root teacher, Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche.

Jampa is a graduate of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Program at the Samarasa Wellness Center under the guidance of David Nichtern, the Dharma Moon founder and senior teacher in the lineage of Chögyam Trungpa. In 2016 he was invited to teach at Long Beach Meditation by his teacher Khaydroup.

Jampa currently is studying in the Zen tradition under the guidance of Jokai Blackwell Roshi. Although he may meander along the path, he has maintained a continuous Dharma practice for many years. He enjoys a good book, jazz, and a pint with old and new friends.
