Pain is not a Punishment, Pleasure is not a Reward

By DonationResource Dharma Talk
Mind training is not easy. Reprogramming or undoing our habitual way of going through life on the well-worn path of self-cherishing will take some time. Once we’ve decided to undertake the path of awakening we’ll experience moments of great happiness, especially when things are going well. But when things are not going so well for us, what happens to our practice?

We continue with the Seventh Point of Lojong, Mind Training teachings which focus on our post-meditation practice. We examine the first three maxims beginning with “Whichever of the two occurs, be patient.” (Seventh Point: Part 2 of 2)

Part 1 “The Power of Intention”
