The Power of Intention

By DonationResource Dharma Talk
Our daily activities can seem to be never-ending. From our work environment, to balancing this with a home life, family, and friends. With a little examination, we might discover that the underlying motive is not really in the interest of benefiting others but of getting what we want. In Lojong practice, we work to replace that underlying self-serving intention with an intention of altruism.

We investigate the Lojong, Mind Training teachings, and the Seventh Point of Mind Training teachings which focus on our post-meditation practice. We examine the first three maxims beginning with “All activities should be done with one intention.” (Seventh Point: Part 1 of 2)

Part 2 “Pain is not a Punishment, Pleasure is not a Reward”

Original Talk: March 3, 2024
