We welcome all self-identified women across gendered expressions of all ages. We warmly welcome and encourage BIPOC  women,  (Black, Indigenous, and women of color), to join us.

Women’s Day Retreat

We are proudly offering this retreat on a donation basis. The money to compensate the teacher(s), provide supplies, and pay for the use of space at Bay Shore Church comes from the generosity of the Frederick P. Lenz Foundation for American Buddhism (“Lenz Foundation”). In 2024 and 2025, Lenz Foundation grants cover the broad-based field of women’s leadership in Buddhism, bringing women to the foreground in innovative ways and providing support for programs that empower women. Description

This day retreat will offer to all self-identified women a supportive space to practice Buddhist teachings to understand our human experience and to help relieve our suffering and the suffering of all beings. Together, we will practice listening deeply to ourselves and one another, accessing our inner wisdom, and aligning the heart and mind. We will practice communal well-being with periods of guided meditations, silent meditation, journaling, gentle movement, and community mindful eating.

Appropriate for those who are new to meditation or have an advanced practice, all levels of experience are welcome.
