This is Part 1 of a 5 part class series, appropriate for beginners as well as experienced meditators who want to refresh the fundamentals of their practice. We offer you these easy to understand tools to learn the art of meditation and mindful awareness.

Mindfulness meditation is the ground to begin the journey to discover our true nature and live a fully present life with greater awareness and compassion. A dedicated meditation practice can radically transform how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. This course can help you develop an effective and on-going meditation practice. You will have an opportunity to learn the foundations of meditation, powerful concentration techniques, and approaches to support your sitting meditation practice and living a day-to-day mindful life. We focus on basic sitting practices and explore how we can take our practice off the cushion and into our daily life. Through clear and insightful instruction, practice sessions, and dialogues, we teach how to:
Implement and integrate a sustained daily practice.
Increase loving kindness and equanimity in your day to day activities.
Attune and align to your intentions and highest values. Understand and manage anxiety and strong emotions.
Develop the qualities of clarity, stability, and strength.
