Stillness in the Now

In the Zen tradition it is customary to meditate in silence. Prior to this 30 minute silent meditation Jokai Roshi provides guidance, emphasizing the importance of being still in a present way. Inviting the body to settle and ground, encouraging one to focus on the breath when mind begins to wander, enquiring and letting go of preference. When the mind and body are still, one can be more wholly present.
